This web site is designed to help professionals and parents of children who have been diagnosed as having Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS). It also has a page for the children who have to live with this condition with all its confusion and frustration. I have divided the information into pages for professionals and pages for parents. The main reason for this is that I have a network of parents who are bringing up children with FAS at different levels of severity and many of the things they have taught me are the truly practical points which help them get through the difficult times

I have also included some information on treatment of pregnant problem drinking women as this is relevant and appropriate to help reduce the risks of alcohol related damage to the baby and also the mother.
