Ciliated Epithelium
The cilia in the nasal cavity are
also found in other parts of the respiratory tract. This ciliated
epithelium also lines the trachea, bronchi and larger bronchioles.
The cilia are found throughout the respiratory passages and
carry out the following functions on incoming air:
- Filtering
- Warming
- Moistening
